Self-Advocacy Program

Burlington Self-Advocacy Club (BSAC) is a self-advocacy group established and operated by individuals served by HowardCenter Developmental Services who have developmental disabilities. The group meets twice a month to socialize, plan events, and to learn about people’s rights.

BSAC was very instrumental in the development of the statewide self-advocacy organization called Green Mountain Self-Advocates. Their mission is to empower individuals to take control over their own lives, make decisions, solve problems, and speak for themselves.
