Emergency Beds

Emergency Beds are accessed through First Call or a health insurance company of the individual being treated. This 24-hour crisis residential care is provided for children ages 6-14 years with an emphasis on stabilization, clinical assessment, and transition to a less intensive setting. Assessment Services

The 24-hour residential assessment services are provided for children ages 6-14 years. Assessments include those components desired by the referral source, ranging from a brief assessment of one particular issue to a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation. Assessment Services are accessed through the development of a Coordinated Services Plan via an Act 264 meeting. All admissions are determined by the State Case Review Committee. Longer Term Residential Treatment

Several options are available, all of which assure a child receives comprehensive psychological, psychiatric, medical, and educational services. All programs include extensive family involvement. Longer Term Residential Treatment is accessed through the development of a Coordinated Services Plan via an Act 264 meeting. All admissions are determined by the State Case Review Committee. The Park Street Program, Rutland

Park Street provides intensive treatment to adolescent males ages 12-17 years who have committed sexual offenses. Treatment focuses on relapse prevention. Park Street also has an adjunct Community Skills program that provides individualized support for youth either transitioning from residential sexual offender treatment or who require a specialized wrap for community integration. Other services provided include individual, group and family therapy, psychiatric care, and an on-site, year-round educational program provided by the Vermont Achievement Center. Woodside Mental Health Services

Woodside Transition Program is a collaboration between HowardCenter and Woodside Juvenile Rehabilitation Center. The program is designed to provide services to youth in custody transitioning from the treatment wing of Woodside back into the community. Please call Intake at 802.488.6600 for more information.
