Administrative Assistant II, HC1-3, Non-Bargaining Unit
Seeking a self-motivated individual to provide administrative support for two HowardCenter Child, Youth & Family Services (CYFS) programs. This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position with full benefits. The successful candidate's time will be divided as follows: 2.5 days per week dedicated to the School Services Program, and 2.5 days per week dedicated to Service Area Administration. For both sides of this position, the candidate should possess excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Excellent writing skills are a plus. The candidate should be able to demonstrate high level skills in organization, multi-tasking, priority management, and time management. Candidate must have the ability to independently manage assigned projects with minimal supervision. Candidate will be a "go-to" person for co-workers who predominantly work off-site, and so should be comfortable taking work flow directions remotely. Candidate will have opportunities to interface with vendors and clients, and should be comfortable doing so. Candidate must be able to successfully pass a background check. Education: High School Diploma required. College Education preferred. Work experience: Minimum 5 years experience in the workplace or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge could be acquired. Of note: one day per week, this position covers a 2.5 hour front desk shift: candidate must be able to work until 6:00 p.m. one day per week.

Seeking individuals/couples or professional roommates to share their home/space, interests and knowledge of life with adolescent males who have been involved with the state's juvenile justice rehabilitation program. These young men have received intensive treatment and are now ready to re-integrate into the community. Shared living providers would be responsible for supervision and support of the young person while implementing therapeutic behavioral plans. The perfect candidate for this type of work would be someone who believes in recovery and helping youth aspire to be their best. Shared living providers would receive extensive support and training and a generous stipend.
Foster Care - Weekend Foster Care
We are also seeking individuals who are available to care for children in their homes on the weekends. Weekend Foster Care providers offer a supportive home environment, are positive role models and offer a nice break for the child and his/her family. Interventionist - Comprehensive Care - Awake Overnight - Jarrett, HC2-2, Bargaining Unit
Seeking a dynamic individual to join our Comprehensive Care program. The Jarrett House serves 6-14 year old children who are experiencing an acute mental health emergency or are in need of an out-of-home assessment. Duties include overseeing the residence and residents throughout overnight hours, conflict resolution strategies, documentation and reporting requirements, medication administration and assist in the daily living of the children in care. BA required. Applicants must be comfortable working with a coed, multi-age population with many and multiple diagnoses. This is a 40hr/wk position that may include weekends. Experience working with children required, preferably youth with behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities include providing living skills support to young children in classroom, community and/or home settings, collaboration with clinical team supporting child and family, and interaction with parents to support children's success in home, preschool or community. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and creative person to provide school social work services to a small caseload of students, and their families. The ideal candidate will be a team player, and work well with our current school social worker, and our special educator. Along with home - school collaboration, case management and therapeutic support, emphasis will be on helping students identify vocational goals, work on job skills and make progress towards identified transition-age goals. This position will be integrally involved in students' transitions from the program. A strong knowledge of the VT System of Care, local mental health services and resources, and the community is desired. This position is benefits eligible.

Speech and Language Pathologist, HC6-0, Non-Bargaining Unit
HowardCenter is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist (16-19 hrs/wk) to provide coordinated speech and language services to children ages 1-3 diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Services will be provided in the context of HowardCenter's Autism Spectrum Program and its partnership with Children's Integrated Services - Early Intervention.
The Autism Spectrum Program SLP serves a case load of 5 toddlers with ASD and is responsible for assessment, treatment and integration of speech and language services. Responsibilities include developing the communication programming, training the direct service staff, working collaboratively with the Autism Specialist staff to effectively coordinate services, and providing weekly speech sessions with families to assist in the application of communication interventions and techniques in the home environment. This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a unique program and the field of Autism services in the state of Vermont.
Candidates must hold a master's degree, be ASHA and CCC certified, and have a minimum of 2 years of field experience with the early childhood population and children with ASD. Candidates should have some understanding of the principles and techniques of Applied Behavioral Analysis and early intensive behavioral intervention, and be comfortable providing services across multiple settings. The purpose of this position is to provide a safe and supportive environment for women who are transitioning from prison to the community. Potential workers complete a questionnaire and basic background screening process. They provide HowardCenter's Developmental Services with information about their availability, preferred hours, and the types of work that they may like to do. Once the screening process is complete, workers are listed out to families and caregivers that employ the worker to provide support to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Substitute Program
Flexible opportunity to work in our residential homes of 1:1 supporting adults and/or children with a developmental disability. There is no guarantee of hours or a set schedule as this is an as-needed basis. We offer paid trainings as well as site orientations before being listed.
