Family Reunification Program
Program Overview
The Family Reunification Program provides residential treatment services aimed at making safe and stable transitions “home.” Whether re-unifying children and youth with their own or extended family or connecting them with other natural supports, our primary goal is to establish and/or support permanency (lifelong, stable connections) for every child in our care.
Who we serve
The Family Reunification Program serves 12 children (ages 6-14) from anywhere in Vermont, who have significant behavioral or mental health needs. Children referred to the Family Reunification Program are typically struggling to be safe and stable in their home and are in need of intensive therapeutic residential services.
Where we provide services
The Family Reunification Program is located at our1138 Pine Street Campus in Burlington, though we provide therapeutic services wherever they are needed to support successful treatment and reunification.
What services we provide
Children placed in the Family Reunification Program receive intensive residential treatment that includes:
- Milieu treatment
- Individual, group, and/or family therapy
- Clinical case management
- Outdoor adventure education
- Individual clinical assessments
- Supervised therapeutic visitations
- Support reintegrating in their home and community
- Discharge planning
- Community Referrals
Our program is most effective when families are able to actively participate in the assessment and treatment process.
