Who We Are

Program Director

Kristie Reed, Director of the Baird School and INCLUSION Program in Burlington, Vermont. Kristie is a Vermont Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Kristie earned a Master's degree in Social Work from the State University of New York in 1999. Program design and development is an area of passion for Kristie. In addition to designing public school alternative education services, she created a micro-residential program for youth with sexualized behavior problems, and redesigned an education day treatment program. Kristie's current areas of focus include consultation with local school districts, presentations to national audiences on training paraprofessionals, and the designing of behavioral programs to support seriously emotionally disturbed youth in inclusive and alternative classrooms.

 Clinical Director

Jennifer Uttecht is the Clinical Director of Howard Center’s Baird School and INCLUSION Program and a Vermont licensed Clinical Psychologist, Doctorate. She received her Psy D. from Wright State University’s School of Professional Psychology. Jennifer has 16 years of clinical experience working with children and families in a variety of treatment settings. Her current work focuses on developing and implementing creative treatment plans for severely emotionally disturbed children in educational settings while utilizing outcome measures to ensure that services are effective. She is presenting this work to national audiences.

Assistant Director

Bruce Audette is the Assistant Director of the Baird School. He received his bachelors degree from Lyndon State College. Bruce has over 27 years’ experience working with Children in educational settings; he has previously taught the Physical Education and Health Education Curriculum at the Baird School. As the Assistant Director, his present focus is on the operational workings of the Baird School.

Special Education Director

Sandra Limoge is the Special Education Director with Howard Center’s Baird School and INCLUSION Program. She earned her masters degree in Education from St. Michael’s College and is a Vermont Licensed HQT Special Educator. She has worked in both public schools and alternative education for the past 26 years. In 1999, Sandra created the INCLUSION Program. Her current work focuses on social cognition group treatment and specialized reading instruction.

Cinical Coordinator

Michelle Phelps is the Clinical Coordinator of the Baird School.  She received her masters in Counseling and Community Mental Health through Southern New Hampshire University.  Michelle has over 22 years of clinical experience working with children and their families both in a residential and school setting.  She is a certified as a Life Space Crisis Intervention and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Trainer. Michelle is instrumental in managing the milieu of the Baird School. She provides clinical guidance and support to children and their teams. 

Clinical Behavior Specialist Supervisor

Katie Reynolds, Clinicial Behavior Specialist Supervisor. Katie obtained a Masters of Social Work from the University of Vermont and is a licensed independent clinical social worker. Katie has been with Howard center since 2011 and has experience in school social work, residential care, and crisis work.

 

Education Director

Meghan Campia  earned her Master's degree in Special education from Bridgewater State University and is a licensed Special Educator. She has worked with children and families in residential and alternative educational programs since 2007. She is currently completing post-graduate work through the University of New England with a focus on Educational Leadership.
